A Patentability Search or Novelty Search looks for prior art references that either alone or in combination are material to the patentability of an invention or concept. Published applications and issued patents, both US and foreign, as well as non-patent literature such as scientific journals and papers could all be included in a patentability search. The patentability search goes beyond a basic prior art search and looks for references that could obviate the proposed invention.

Accelerated Examination Search

The USPTO has created procedures for an accelerated examination of patent applications that guarantee a decision within about 12 months. One requirement is the submission of an Accelerated Examination Support Document.

The Accelerated Examination Search  assists in the creation of an Accelerated Examination Support Document by providing the search history, explanation of relevance for the references, and application of relevant references to the claims. An Infringement or Non-Infringement Search identifies patents and published applications having claims on a specific product or service. With this information, our experienced search professionals will conduct a search, identify relevant patents, and highlight claims within these patents in the search report. Upon request, search professionals map each identified claim to the elements of the product or service.
