Patent Searches
Whether you are a start-up company, corporation, individual or a university, a thorough patent search is the best way to get the patent process started. We search on the EAST System, the same search tool used by the USPTO Examiners. The EAST system is more complete than the records on the internet and offers a higher flip rate so we can get through more references with a given budget. We offer many types of searches from the most basic to the very complex. Please let us know which search suits your needs to get started today.

Patentability Search / Novelty Search
A Patentability Search or Novelty Search looks for prior art references that either alone or in combination are material to the patentability of an invention or concept. Published applications and issued patents, both US and foreign, as well as non-patent literature such as scientific journals and papers could all be included in a patentability search. The patentability search goes beyond a basic prior art search and looks for references that could obviate the proposed invention.

Accelerated Examination Search
The USPTO has created procedures for an accelerated examination of patent applications that guarantee a decision within about 12 months. One requirement is the submission of an Accelerated Examination Support Document.
The Accelerated Examination Search assists in the creation of an Accelerated Examination Support Document by providing the search history, explanation of relevance for the references, and application of relevant references to the claims. A detailed search history, that accompanies our report demonstrates that the search was conducted according to USPTO guidelines for the filing procedure.

Infringement Search / Non-Infringement Search
An Infringement or Non-Infringement Search identifies patents and published applications having claims on a specific product or service. Upon request, search professionals map each identified claim to the elements of the product or service.
